What is llms.txt?

llms.txt is a short text file at the root of a website, proposed as a standard way to give AI assistants a clean summary of a site: what the business does and which pages matter, without menus, adverts or code in the way.

It does not replace good pages or structured data, and not every assistant reads it yet. It is quick to add, costs nothing, and makes your site easier for AI tools to understand when they do.
